Galaxy Note 20: only a 60 Hz screen in Full HD + definition?

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 could be equipped with a 60 Hz screen in Full HD + definition only. In any case, this is what the famous leaker IceUniverse reveals on Twitter.

After revealing that the Galaxy Note 20 would skip the curved screen, the reputable leaker IceUniverse returns this Wednesday, June 17 with new information. As he explains on his Twitter account, the Galaxy Note 20 could only be equipped with a screen with flat edges in Full HD + definition and with a refresh rate of 60 Hz.

“Wide format + flat screen + FHD definition + 60 Hz refresh rate. It's a hopeless configuration“, writes IceUniverse on the social network. If IceUniverse's information turns out to be correct, it's clear that the Galaxy Note 20 will come with a significantly less impressive configuration than the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.

Wide frame + flat screen + FHD resolution + 60Hz refresh rate.
    It's a desperate specification.?

A Note 20 that could be a Note 20 Lite

Indeed, the high-end model should carry a 6,87-inch LTPO panel in QHD + definition with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It should be noted that the information from IceUniverse corroborates previous information relayed by the leaker Ross Young. According to its sources, the Galaxy Note 20 would be deprived of an LTPO screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

If this were the case, Samsung would therefore offer a Galaxy Note 20 less well equipped than the Galaxy S20 with its Dynamic AMOLED 120 Hz screen in QHD + definition. A rather curious decision. For IceUniverse, it goes even further and claims that the Galaxy Note 20 will be a much less ambitious model than its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 10. Regarding the screen, it is true that the Note 10 has a curved screen, unlike the Note 20 if we are to believe the statements of the leaker.

Anyway, we will have to wait for the official presentation of the Galaxy Note 20 and Fold 2 on August 5, 2020. The manufacturer will take advantage of this online conference to also unveil a 5G version of the Galaxy Z Flip, a Galaxy S7 / S7 + tablet and a Galaxy Watch 3 smartwatch.
