How to disable SIM Vodafone

Private customers

As I told you at the beginning of the guide, it is possible disable a Vodafone SIM going to intervene both on the cards rechargeable than on those in subscription. Below you will find explained how to proceed in both cases for what concerns the customers private.

Depending on what your preferences are, as well as the means in your possession, you can take different paths to succeed: you can do everything directly online, through the website of the manager, or by sending a PEC at the dedicated address; by phone, by contacting the customer care of the operator; sending a registered mail at the appropriate address; or you can act in person, by going to one of the stores by Vodafone. The choice is yours on the way you think is most comfortable.



Vodafone website

You prefer to deactivate your SIM online, acting from Vodafone website? Then visit the dedicated web page and log in toDo it yourself area of the portal, by typing your login data in the appropriate fields on the left and then clicking on the button Log in (lower).

If you don't already have an account on Vodafone.com, you can create it right now by clicking on the button Subscribe which is on the right, by typing yours cellphone number in the on-screen field and clicking the button Confirm number. After that, you will be sent a verification code via SMS that you will have to type on the site to verify your identity and complete the account creation procedure.


Once logged in, check that the data relating to your person at the top of the page are correct. If not, press the button with the pencil and edit them. Then select yours telephone number from the drop-down menu below and click the adjacent button (Confirmation).


Once this is done, it will be sent to your mobile number a Device PIN, with limited duration, which you will have to enter in the appropriate field on the screen to confirm and forward your request. Within 48 hours you will then be contacted by a Vodafone operator who will ask you for further confirmation regarding the execution of the operation in question and who will finalize your request.

PEC

Another online system that you can use to request the deactivation of your Vodafone card is the PEC (for more information on this, read my tutorial dedicated to how to create a PEC email), by sending a certified mail message to the address vodafoneomnitel@pocert.vodafone.com.

So, log into your certified e-mail box and start composing a new message by entering the address I gave you as the recipient. In the body of the email, it specifies the ones that are the your needs (i.e. deactivate the card) and reports i personal data of the holder of the SIM (presumably yours) and the telephone number of reference.

Also, attach a double-sided scan of yours to the e-mail message identification document valid and send everything. Subsequently, you may be contacted by Vodafone for further confirmation regarding the operation to be performed, after which your card will be deactivated.

Registered mail

You can also proceed with the deactivation of the Vodafone card by sending one recommended return. To be precise, in this case, what you have to do is send a registered letter to the address Vodafone Customer Service at P.O. Box 190 - 10015 IVREA or at P.O. Box 109 - 14100 Asti.


In the registered letter you must indicate yours request, you need to report i personal data of the holder (presumably you) and the telephone number of reference. Also provide for attaching a double-sided copy of yours identification document valid.


Later, you may be contacted by Vodafone for further confirmation regarding the operation to be carried out. After that your SIM will be deactivated.

Telephone customer service

If you prefer, you can succeed in the enterprise covered by this tutorial by going to interface with the Vodafone telephone customer service. In that case, take your mobile, dial the number 190 on the numeric keypad and press the key to initiate a call.

When the recorded voice begins to speak, press the button 1 (the one for the mobile), then the button 4 (the one to receive assistance from a consultant) and to conclude the button 3 (the one for talk to Vodafone). Wait, therefore, for a "human" operator to answer you and communicate to the latter what your intentions are.

The operator will take care of your request and will guide you step-by-step in putting into practice the procedure to be undertaken to request cancellation of the card. Please note that the combination of keys to press can change from moment to moment, so be sure to follow the instructions of the voice guide. Stores

Do you prefer to deactivate your Vodafone SIM in person? Then go to one of the stores of the manager present on the cittàn territory. If you do not know where the one closest to your area is, visit the dedicated web page, on which you can find an interactive map with the list of the operator's shops.


Once the page is displayed, reply affirmatively to the notice relating to the identification of yours Actual position that appears at the top, after which you can immediately view all the Vodafone centers in the area. If no warning appears, type your address "by hand" in the search field at the top left and select the relevant result from the suggestions that appear.


Afterwards, all the available Vodafone centers will be shown directly on the map and by clicking on the various placeholders you will be able to obtain information such as the address, telephone number, etc.

When you have identified the Vodafone center closest to your area, go to the place taking it with you card you want to deactivate and yours identification document, then tell the salesperson what your needs are. The latter will take care of your request and will ask you to fill in a specific form module paper.

Regardless of the method used to submit the request for deactivation of the card, keep in mind that this must be done with 30 days notice for what concerns the rechargeable cards and within 30 days before the expiration of the contract for subscriptions.

Please also take into account that, based on your offer, fees may be involved early withdrawal or the payment of any rate residue of a device associated with the current plan or of the activation fee.

Corporate customers and VAT number

Are you a corporate client or with VAT number? Know that the procedures that can be put into practice to deactivate the SIMs differ slightly from those seen together in the previous lines as regards private individuals.

Therefore, below you will find the various operations that, in this case, it is possible to undertake to forward the request for deactivation of the card.

  • Submit a recommended return at Vodafone Customer Service c / o P.O. Box 190 - 10015 IVREA.
  • Submit a PEC at vodafoneomnitel@pocert.vodafone.com, as I explained to you in the step dedicated to private customers.
  • Connect to this page and fill in the appropriate online form present on the Vodafone website. You will need to enter your login credentials toDo it yourself area, after which you will be sent a Device PIN with limited duration on the telephone number used for registration, which you will have to type in the appropriate form to confirm your request.
  • Contact by phone the Vodafone customer service, calling the number 42323.
  • Go to one of the Vodafone sales points in Italy and fill in the appropriate form in person, as I explained to you in the step dedicated to private customers.

Deactivation due to transfer to another operator

As anticipated at the beginning of the article, you can also deactivate your Vodafone card switching to another operator. In this case, however, the procedure is totally automatic and the associated numbering is not expected to be lost.

Unless otherwise specified in contractual conditions of your card with Vodafone (which I suggest you consult, in order to avoid "nasty surprises), the deactivation of the SIM for switching to another telephone operator does not involve additional costs (except for those provided by the" new "operator for the activation of the new form).

In any case, the procedure to start to switch to another operator is quite simple: all you have to do is go to a center of the telephone operator with which you intend to sign the new contract, bringing with you a valid identification document and the SIM you wish to keep the numbering, and explain to the employee you are going to interface with what your intentions are.

You will then be asked to sign some forms and you will be given a SIM with a "provisional" number. Subsequently, within 48 hours, your old phone number will be associated with the new card and the provisional one will be deactivated.

In addition to this, as I have just indicated, you can request the switch to another operator by visiting the website of the manager of your interest, selecting the offer you are interested in and following the on-screen procedure to request number portability. The documentation and the provisional SIM will be sent to you at your home.
